Mechanical Seals

A Mechanical seal is a machine element made to seal the passage point of a rotating part (i.e shaft) through a stationary part (i.e machine casing). Mechanical seals are state of the art when it concerns the sealing of rotating shafts. Pumps, agitators, expansion joints and other “rotating equipment” are used in all industrial production plants.

The mechanical shaft seals are used while dealing with flammable, corrosive, abrasive, precious and volatile liquids. These seals are applicable in rotary motion equipment, pumps, steam turbines, mixers and compressors.Features of the mechanical seal are two surfaces sliding on each other.
